All show reports (point sheets) must be fully completed and mailed to the show secretary within 21 days of the end of the event.
Each show report must be accompanied by a tear sheet of the list of classes from the prize list or program of the event. The following information must appear on the tear sheet: Name of event, date of event, location of the event, any ratings given the event (i.e. AHSA "A", or local rating system), and classes offered. NOTE: In the case of multiple day shows, only classes where the rider is claiming points need to be sent. Incomplete show reports will be returned.
In order to claim bonus points for rated shows, you must state the ratings on your points sheet and you must submit the cover or other page of the class list which clearly states the letter rating and recognizing organization(s). If you do not do so, you will receive only unrated points.
Points will be accumulated from January 1 to December 31 of that year. If a show opens before, or closes after, the point accumulation dates, but has at least one show day within the accumulation dates, the entire show counts. Example; A show runs December . 31 to January 3. The points earned at the entire show will be included in the year before High Points Awards.

The point scoring chart below refers to AA-A rated and B-C rated shows where classes receive bonus points. This is to recognize more challenging competition with greater points. AA-A or B-C rated points may be claimed in the following competitions:
1. (AHSA) American Horse Show Association shows and (CEF) Canadian Equestrian Federation shows with division (s) rated A, B, C.
2. Shows recognized by the overall state (province) horse show organizations (i.e. multi-breed and multi-discipline, NOT a specialized organization such as "Hunter-Jumper" and with divisions rated in a format similar to AHSA (A, B, C, or AAA, AA, A).
3. Shows recognized by a regional (multi-state) horse show organization, as in 2. above, and with divisions rated similar to AHSA.
4. Breed shows recognized by the national breed organization and with divisions rated AA/A, B, C, or Gold Sanctioned, Silver Sanctioned etc.
5. United States Dressage Federation (USDF) or AHSA dressage shows. Since no letter ratings are used, Training Level will be considered as a B-C rated.
6. USCTA or AHSA horse trials or multi-day events which include dressage, cross-country and stadium jumping; also USCTA combined tests (events in which only two of the above phases are offered. Since no letter ratings are used all Levels will be considered a B-C rated.
7. Medal Classes are to be considered AA-A Rated.
If you have a question regarding whether an organization's rating system would qualify for the bonus points, send a copy of rating system to NFPA main office for clarification.
